The ability to contextualize, empathize, and understand grows exponentially when we are able to truly understand the broader reality of the world we live in. To bridge-build is to understand the layers of complexity that exist in our origin story.

Meet the instructor

Elizabeth Behrens

Elizabeth works predominantly with fellow white bridge builders; utilizing research and personal experience to understand the role we play in the creation and maintenance of racial hierarchy. She works in the Training Department, writing and teaching content and co-leading training. Her background is in middle level education and she is in the process of receiving her masters in Biblical Studies and History. She lives in Kansas City, Missouri with four children, her husband, and a naughty dog. When Elizabeth is not busy parenting or working, she can be found in her garden listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
