No matter where you are on the journey of learning about racial justice, this course is informative and beneficial for those of us who desire to become active bridge-builders.

When it comes to racial bridge-building for white people, Be the Bridge places a lot of focus on listening to and learning from Black, Indigenous, Asian and Latinx communities.
While listening and engaging with people of color is important, there is a lot of work to be done to “catch up” on our racial understanding. We cannot place the burden on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) by expecting them to teach a basic level of information we can learn through our own reading, research, and self-reflection.
This course, Foundations: An Introduction to Bridge-Building for White People, gives you a way to do that preliminary and necessary work. It is created for the white community by our white educators. Foundations should be used as a “first step” before finding and/or deepening cross-racial engagement, such as through the Be the Bridge’s Building Bridges guide intended for cross-racial groups.
