Foundations:
An Introduction to Bridge-Building for White People (Christian-based)

It is unfair to expect the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) we are in a relationship with to bear the responsibility of educating us. Instead, we should take the initiative to learn through reading, research, and self-reflection and to learn from BIPOC-led organizations that have a unique understanding of how to build bridges.

Our Foundations course was created for our white community by our white educators. Designed as the first step in our transformational pathway, this course encourages you to do the preliminary and necessary work of self-reflection.

Your instructors will facilitate conversations on the Bible and race, how to build bridges sustainably, barriers to healthy bridge-building, and the white supremacy historical timeline.

No matter where you are on the journey of learning about racial justice, this course is informative and beneficial for those of us who desire to become active bridge-builders.

"Thank you for this opportunity. It helps me to connect with others and consider what God is calling me to in response to racism. I was challenged to move from compassion for people of color into the process of learning and action for racial justice. "
